It's more than just coffee

Our story does not begin with coffee. It begins with a love for our homeland, our family, and the land that has always brought us together.

We are a family-owned coffee company rooted in the high mountains of Santa Rita, Copán, Honduras. For us, coffee is a way to honor where we come from and share a little piece of home with others.

At the heart of our story is José Ángel Hernández-Umaña. From a young age, José developed a deep connection to the countryside, growing up surrounded by cattle, family, and the land. Those early experiences taught him the value of hard work, patience, and caring for the land. These are values he has carried with him throughout his life.

In 1993, José moved to the United States in search of new opportunities. Although life took him away from Honduras, his connection to home never faded. Over the years, he continued working toward a dream of growing something of his own on the land he loved.

With time, that dream became something the whole family could share. Gatherings at the farm, surrounded by family, stories, food, and the people who care for the land, reminded us that this was about more than coffee. It was about family, heritage, and creating something that could be passed on.

In 2023, The White Flower Company was founded to bring that dream to life and share the richness of Honduran coffee with others.

Our name comes from the delicate white flowers of the coffee plant, which bloom for only a short time each year. To us, they represent the beauty found in simple moments and the importance of appreciating them while they last.

Today, we are proud to share coffee grown in the mountains of Honduras, cultivated with care by hardworking local communities and rooted in our family's connection to the land.

Because for us, this has always been about more than coffee. It is about where we come from, the people who make it possible, and a dream that continues to grow. We thank God for His goodness and mercy, and we thank you for being part of our story.
